What you will find here

The main game is a classic block puzzle: three shapes appear at a time, you drag them onto an 8×8 grid, and any completed row or column clears. The game ends when none of the remaining shapes fit. Shapes cannot be rotated, so the challenge is in planning around what you are given.

Alongside the game, we publish strategy guides that explain how the scoring works, how to plan several moves ahead, and which common mistakes end runs early. They are written by our team from our own play and analysis of the game's scoring rules, not copied from other sites.

How we build the site

Simple and fast. The pages are lightweight and load quickly, including on slower mobile connections.
Respectful of your attention. We do not ask for sign-ups, and we keep advertising separate from the game board so it never gets in the way of a move.
Clear rules. Scoring, combos and game-over conditions are explained openly on the site, so you always know why a run went the way it did.
Fixed when broken. If something does not work on your device, tell us and we will look into it.

Your data

Your best score is saved in your browser's local storage on your own device. It is not sent to our servers, and clearing your site data will reset it. For everything else, including cookies and advertising, see our Privacy Policy.

How the site is funded

BlockPuzzle is free for everyone. It is supported by advertising, which helps cover hosting and the time we spend improving the game and writing guides. Ads are clearly labelled and are never part of the game itself.

BlockPuzzle is an independent site and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any commercial game publisher. Any other game names mentioned on the site are used only to describe general game types and belong to their respective owners.
